Safe Eats is committed to providing health inspection data while respecting your privacy.

Location Data

Safe Eats uses your device's location to show restaurant health grades in your immediate vicinity. This data is processed locally. We do not store, track, or share your location history on any servers. Safe Eats does not collect analytics data or track user behavior across apps or websites.

Third-Party Services

This app uses the Google Places API to provide supplemental restaurant information (hours, photos, and status). By using this app, you are bound by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Government Data Disclaimer

All health inspection scores and data are sourced from public records provided by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD). Safe Eats is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official representative of SNHD.

iCloud Sync

Safe Eats uses Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to sync certain app preferences and user-selected data across your devices signed in with the same Apple Account. This may include favorites, followed locations, and notification preferences. We do not sell this data or share it with third parties for advertising. Data synced through iCloud is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy terms.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Safe Eats may store and use notification-related settings (such as followed locations and alert preferences) to deliver alerts you request. Push notification delivery uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs). Device tokens are used only for notification delivery and related app functionality.

Your Controls

You can control iCloud syncing through your device’s iCloud settings and control notifications through iOS Notification Settings.
